Magazine who had a complete in house sales staff that sold thousands of magazines each month.  The thinking was that if they could sell magazines about sports why not the actual autographed items of famous athletes who appeared in the magazine?  It worked like a charm.  In less than 3 weeks the company sold all 939 bats.  Each side made six figures on the deal and we made a very handsome finders fee for a few hours work.  But we didn’t stop with that project.  We went on to find many other sources of authentic autographed merchandise which they sold.  When the company was purchased in the mid nineties the division we created was doing over $3,000,000 per year in boiler room autographed sports merchandise all because they helped out a retired athlete.
